Pilling — those little rolls of product that appear when layers fight each other — is almost always a timing problem, not a product problem.
Three fixes: use less than you think you need; wait thirty seconds between layers so each one settles; and press products in rather than rubbing them around. Water-light layers go first, heavier creams last.
If a pair still pills after that, split them — one in the morning, one at night.
